This notice explains what PREST OFFICE LIMITED does with personal data collected through prestofficeglobal.com. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.
Who is responsible
PREST OFFICE LIMITED, company number 16426682, registered in England and Wales, registered office Office 12579, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 2JA, United Kingdom, is the controller of the personal data described here. For any question about this notice, write to contact@prestofficeglobal.com.
What we collect, and when
When you send an enquiry
If you use the contact form or write to us by email, we receive what you choose to send:
- your name
- your email address
- optionally your company or brand name
- optionally your country
- the service you are interested in and any budget range you indicate
- the description of your project
- the date and time of the message
Please do not send passwords, payment card details, identity documents or confidential information belonging to your own clients through the form. If something sensitive becomes necessary during a project, we will agree a secure route for it.
When you become a client
If we work together, we additionally process what the engagement requires: the contact details of the people involved, the content of our correspondence, the material you send us for the project, and the billing details needed to issue an invoice and keep proper records.
When you simply browse
This website sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels. Our server keeps ordinary technical logs of requests, which may include an IP address, in order to operate the site and defend it against abuse. See the Cookie Notice for detail.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote — because you asked us to, as a step before entering a contract.
- To deliver a project you have commissioned — to perform our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records — because the law requires it.
- To keep the site and our systems secure, and to prevent spam and abuse — our legitimate interest in operating safely.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to train any model.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project: kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client project records: kept for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as we may need them to answer a question or defend a claim.
- Accounting records: kept for the period UK law requires.
- Server logs: kept for a short operational period and then rotated out.
Who else sees it
We keep the list of service providers short. Personal data may be processed by the providers we use to run the business:
- our email provider, which carries and stores our correspondence
- our hosting provider, which runs this website and its server logs
- where relevant, a payment provider that processes a payment you make — we never see or store your full card details
- our accountant or a professional adviser, where an engagement requires it
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so.
International transfers
We are established in the United Kingdom and work with clients in several countries. Some of our providers may process data outside the UK or the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these, write to contact@prestofficeglobal.com. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority — in the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner’s Office, and in the EU it is the supervisory authority of your country.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to correspondence and project material is limited to the people who need it. We keep the number of systems holding your data deliberately small. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise — but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects you and the law requires notification.
Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and professionals. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date shown at the top of it.
This notice describes our actual practice. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace the terms of any contract we sign with you.
